Obituary published on Legacy.com by Earle Funeral Home - Blackwood from Jan. 22 to Jan. 23, 2026.
It is with great sadness that the family of Ronan Mobley, Sr, affectionately known as Ron, announces his passing on January 8, 2026. Born in
Colorado Springs, CO. on August 20, 1959, Ron was a long-time resident of
Glendora, NJ. He is survived by his sons, Ronan, Jr. (Jamie) and Josh (Rebecca); his longtime love, Harriette Hallowell and her son Michael; his brother Don (Dave); sister, Donna Parker (Ed); sister, Cathy Bull; several nieces and nephews; and his grandchildren, Brayden, Joshua Jr, and Isabella. He is predeceased by his loving mother, Mary Tefoya.
Ron Mobley was a man with a giant heart. He loved hard, always wearing his heart on his sleeve. He and Harriette had a beautiful relationship of pure love, spanning over three decades. The way he spoke to her and of her should be an example to us all.
The sun rose and set on Ron's children and grandchildren. He loved to talk sports with his grandson, Brayden. Ron loved watching the Broncos-starting Brayden's goofy love of the Carolina Panthers when they played in the Super Bowl when he was a toddler. Those two kept that sweet rivalry going, you could just see the joy he felt, watching them banter. It was simply happiness.
Ron was the kind of person that made friends everywhere he went. He supported his local small businesses, from sandwiches at Larry's Cold Cuts (the corner store across the street), to walking to his corner post office. You could always count on a huge grin and the warmest greeting from Ron; he made you feel like the friend he's just looking forward to seeing.
He loved his coffee. LOVED. From home brewed coffee at the kitchen table, to a DD caramel iced coffee with 6 creams and Sweet & Low. Boy, did he love iced coffee. It was his little joy. He also loved cooking a pot of green chili, bringing out the tortilla warmer and sharing his beautiful family memories, making you feel like you were part of it, wrapped in a huge warm hug with every bite- felt like home. He really loved his family with every ounce of him. He loved to laugh, and we loved to make him laugh. Bringing him laughter when he was not feeling well is one of the greatest gifts we have had in this life.
Ron Mobley was a good man, a wonderful and steadfast dad and stepdad, who fiercely loved his grandchildren. He gave the best, most genuine hugs- he'd squeeze the love right into you. He was an incredible man, warm and kind, the kind they broke the mold with- he will be deeply and always missed.
The family of Ron Mobley will be celebrating his life privately.
