Edward Curtis Mobley of Rock Hill, SC went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 4, 2026. He was born in Lancaster, SC to Samuel Curtis and Amanda Elizabeth Mackey Mobley on August 4, 1932.

Mr. Mobley attended Clemson University and married Ann Phillips Johnson on January 10, 1952. They moved to Palatka, Florida where he started his career. He moved to Rock Hill, SC in the late 1950's and began working at Bowater, where he worked in the Power Department until 1994 where he retired in 1994 as Utilities Manager. After retiring, he enjoyed getting together with other retirees for lunches and parties, travelling with his wife, Ann, spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and a lifelong ministry at Ebenezer Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.

Ed was a member of Ebenezer ARP Church for 55 years. He enjoyed taking mission trips to Mexico and was active in the Ebenezer Missions Committee, as well as an Elder for many years.

Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Mobley, his granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Brown, his sisters, Carol Nims and Grace Turbyfill, and parents, Samuel and Amanda Mobley as well as Ed's 2nd wife, Carolyn Montgomery who he married after Ann's passing.

Ed is survived by his son, Kurt Mobley (Regina) of Evans, GA, daughters Lynn Smith (Frankie) of Midlothian, VA, and Dee Eggert (Damon) of Rock Hill, SC, his grandchildren, Heather Botero (James), Michelle Mobley, Stephen Mobley (Candace), Martha Green, and Mitchell Sullivan; great grandchildren, Kaylee , Bella, Jacob, Sydney, and Oakley; brother in law, DeWitt "Buster" Johnson (Irene) of Rock Hill and nieces (Sherry and Christy), and Carolyn's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Special thanks to all of the caretakers at Kempton of Rock Hill, both Assisted Living and Memory Care where he spent the last 2 years of his life. They were all such a blessing to Ed.

A Memorial Service will be held at Ebenezer ARP Church, 2132 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, South Carolina on Monday, February 16th at 1:00pm, and the visitation will be held at the church at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ebenezer APR Church.
