Ronald Valentine Dhein was born to life on November 30, 1942 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee. He was the first child of Valentine & Evelyn (Groth) Dhein. Ron was baptized into Christ and affirmed his faith at the Evangelical & Reformed Church in Dheinsville. He grew up on the family farm, attending Rockfield School and then graduated from Germantown, Class of 1960.
On April 11, 1964, Ron and Pam Pritzlaff were united in marriage at Grace Lutheran in the Falls. In their 60 years of marriage they were blessed with three children: Rodney (who died as an infant), Craig (Connie), and Lisa (Rick) Belongia; who brought into the world four grandchildren: Trisha Dhein (Austin Smith), Travis Dhein, Kayla (Matt) Voigt, and Melissa Belongia. Plus, Ron got to be Great-Papa to: Mason, Sawyer, Atticus, Zayna, and Ezra.
Ron & Pam made their home in Jackson starting in 1964. Ron worked for many years at Gehl in West Bend, and retired from Chemrite. He enjoyed time with family, making wood with Craig, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, and Pepsi!
He earned the nickname "Smiley" because he almost always had a sunny disposition to share, and a real love for people and could "shoot the breeze" with anyone!
Ron was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church, and served on Church Council, the Call Committee, and as an usher. He was loved by all, and his warm presence will be missed by all.
Ron was born to eternal life on the night of December 7, at Lasata Care Center, Cedarburg. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by brothers Warren (Joyce), Dale (Jackie), nieces and nephews, and many relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank Ron's wonderful caregivers at Lasata and those from Horizon Hospice.
Ron's funeral is planned for Friday the 13th at St. John's Lutheran Church in the Town of Jackson. Visitation begins at 11:00 with the service at 1:00 and burial in the church cemetery, followed by lunch at church. In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome memorials to St. John's or the charity of your choice.
The Schmidt Funeral Home is serving the family. Messages for the family may be left in an online guestbook at www.schmidtfuneralhome.com.

We were so sad to hear about Uncle Ronnie passing. He was a great uncle. I always had fun chatting with him while having a beer or two. ;) ... Our prayers are with you all.
Love,
Vicki, Chip and family
