Bond Memorial Chapel - Mount JulietRonnie Lynn Gamel Jr., 60, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, was born on November 3, 1964, and passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, after a courageous battle with leukemia. Ronnie was not only an excellent carpenter, dedicating six years of his life to Solomon Builders Company, but he was also a man of remarkable character—a hard worker, devoted friend, and a genuinely kind-hearted individual. Throughout his life, he was known for his unwavering loyalty and had the unique ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him with his great sense of humor.
A lover of the outdoors, Ronnie found solace in fishing and camping. His passion for motorcycles was equally notable, as he reveled in the thrill of the ride. Ronnie's love for his family and friends was profound, particularly his cherished Virginia friends, with whom he often enjoyed friendly games of horseshoes. A devoted animal lover, he especially adored his dogs, LJ and Nell Nell, treating them with boundless affection, as though they were his own children.
Ronnie is survived by his father, Ronnie Gamel Sr., and his wife, Linda; his mother, Kat-Marie Zimmerman; his brother, Terry Gamel and his wife Emily; his sister, Janette Lehtola, along with her husband, Karl; his nephew, Matthew Sagraves, and his wife, Blair; his great-nephew, Gavin Sagraves; and his beloved fur babies.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Don Zimmerman and his stepmother, Carol Gamel, who loved Ronnie as his own.
Ronnie's warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. His spirit remains a testament to the values he demonstrated throughout his life, and his legacy of love and friendship will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
In honor of Ronnie, a graveside service will be held at Celebration Lutheran Prayer Garden at 3425 N. Mount Juliet Road, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122 on October 11, 2025, at 3:00 P.M.
