Ronnie Goss

Ronnie Goss, age 77, born on July 3, 1947, in Canton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2024, in Cumming, Georgia. He was a cherished presence, known for his gentle spirit and loving nature.
A retired engineer from Lucent Technologies, Ronnie also dedicated a part of his life to the Cherokee County School District before taking a well-deserved second retirement. He was a devoted deacon and an active member of the Pleasant Arbor Baptist Church for many years. Ronnie relished in the simple pleasures of wood working and gardening.
Above all, Ronnie loved his family deeply, providing a strong and tender foundation upon which their lives have been built. His absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, yet his memory will be a beacon of the warmth and love he so freely gave. Ronnie Goss will be profoundly missed but remembered fondly by all.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Josphene Goss; and parents, Jesse "Shorty" and Lula Belle Goss; survivors are his sons and daughters-in-law, James Goss (Karen), and Nathan Goss (Jennifer); grandchildren, Justin Goss (Emily), Jacob Goss (Allyson), Jordon Goss, Henry Goss, and Hazel Goss; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Goss and Devin Goss; sister, Carol Benzel; as well as beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Pleasant Arbor Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby McFarland and Rev. Michael McPherson officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 22nd from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, July 23rd from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Sosebee Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Goss, Jacob Goss, Jordan Goss, Henry Goss, Walker Dunn and Kane Hawkins.
