Ronnie Dale Hyde

Ronnie Dale Hyde, 68, of Gastonia passed away peacefully on Friday Sept. 23, 2022 at Caromont Regional Hospital in Gastonia. Ronnie was born January 12, 1954 in Graham County, NC to the late Reid Aaron Hyde and Dorothy McCall Hyde. He was a retired mechanic at Pharr Yarns Complex 46 in Lowell and was a past volunteer Fire Fighter at the McAdenville Fire Department. Ronnie loved Hot Rods and especially muscle cars he grew up with. He loved the mountains and especially the Snowbird Camp Grounds in Robbinsville, NC. Ronnie was a Christian with the Baptist Faith. His true pride and joy was his grandson Justin whom he lived with. Ronnie was a friend to all he knew.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Hyde and a niece Melissa Hyde. Survivors include his grandchildren Justin Lecroy, Cheyenne Hoffman and Jada Salazar-Hyde. Stepson, Danny Lowrance. Sister, Karen Felton and brothers Donnie Hyde (Lisa) and Leonard Gladden. Also his nephew Brent Hyde and niece Joy Lee. Family visitation will be held Tuesday Sept. 27 from 4:30-6:00 PM at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services in Mt. Holly. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday Sept 28 at 12:00 at the Williams Family Cemetery, Beech Creek Road/Off Highway 143 in Robbinsville, NC. In Lieu of flowers Memorials may be made in Ronnie's name to Hospice & Palliative Care, 7845 Little Ave. Charlotte, NC 28226.
