Ronnie proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, a testament to his courage and dedication. Following his military service, he worked on the assembly line at General Electric in Louisville, Kentucky.
A man of deep community ties, Ronnie was an active member of the Sellersburg Moose Lodge #1757 and the American Legion Post 204 in Sellersburg. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for deer hunting and spending time amidst nature's beauty.
Ronnie is survived by his loving sisters, Joyce Jackson (Donald) and Marlene Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Adene McRae, Jeanee Cooper, Donnie Jewell, Louise Tate, and Eula Mae Greenwood. His extended family and innumerable friends will fondly remember Ronnie for his kindness, valor, and devotion.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025; from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel.
After the service, Ronnie will be laid to rest at Silver Creek Cemetery with full military honors, reflecting his profound commitment to his country. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Legion Post 204 Color Guard.
