Ronnie Kelley Obituary

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Stone Bluff Baptist Church. Pastor Josh Willinger will officiate. Floral arrangements should be delivered to the church.
Ronnie Lynn Kelley, known affectionately to all as Red, passed away at the age of 60 on September 9, 2025, in Tulsa, OK, due to a heart attack. He was born on November 22, 1964, in Muskogee, OK, to parents Carolyn Sue Kelley and Ted Kelley, and he grew up enveloped in the warmth of a close-knit family.
Ronnie was a man of great humor, thoughtfulness, and skill. Throughout his life, his ability to fix anything and make those around him laugh was a source of joy and comfort to his family and friends. He was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need and could be relied upon to offer a helping hand, accompanied by a mischievous grin that could light up a room. After completing his high school education, Ronnie faithfully served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the National Guard. His commitment to service was a testament to his strength of character and love for his country. Following his military service, Ronnie took to the open road as a truck driver, a job that suited his independent spirit and love for adventure. His years behind the wheel took him across the country, where he made countless friends and collected stories that he would recount with his trademark humor and charm.
Ronnie's Christian faith was an integral part of his life, guiding his actions and providing a foundation for the love and kindness he shared with the world. He was a man who lived his beliefs through his actions, always ready to lend a hand or offer support to those in need. A lover of the great outdoors, Ronnie found peace and excitement in hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and gather with friends and family. Racing was another passion that quickened his pulse, whether he was watching intently from the stands or discussing the latest event with fellow enthusiasts. Ronnie also loved a great pool game. Some of his friends jokingly called him broomstick Kelley because he would walk around with a broom acting like he was shooting pool. But above all, his greatest interest was his family, who were the cornerstone of his life.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julie Kelley, who was his companion and best friend, by his devoted mother, Carolyn Sue Kelley; his father, Ted Kelley and brother in law Terry Mullen.
He is survived by his sister, Susan Mullen; his brothers, Kevin Kelley and his wife, Deborah, and Brian Kelley and his wife, Trina; and his cherished son, Codi Kelley and his wife, Jenna, as well as his step daughter, JoAnna Hill. Each family member carries forward Ronnie's legacy of love, laughter, and generosity. The world is a little less bright without Ronnie's presence, but his memory will live on in the hearts and stories of those who knew him. His life was a testament to the joy that can be found in simplicity, the strength of family bonds, and the enduring power of a good-natured spirit. Ronnie Lynn Kelley will be deeply missed, but the impact of his life will continue to be felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing this extraordinary man.
