Ronald "Ronnie" Paul Masters, a beloved figure in the lives of, passed away November 5, 2025, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center surrounded by his and friends. Born on February 22 1955, in Gaston County, NC, Ronnie filled his years with kindness and friendship, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.
After dedicating over 30 years of his life to serving at Wix Filters, Ronnie proudly retired and enjoyed pursuing his passions. He was an avid NASCAR fan, particularly devoted to the legacy of Dale Earnhardt. His enthusiasm was equally matched by his support for the Dallas Cowboys and his enjoyment of wrestling. Beyond sports, Ronald found joy in frequenting Planet Fitness and indulging in his love for cheeseburgers—a testament to his vibrant spirit and zest for life.
Ronnie is survived by his loving siblings, Joyce Heflin, Bobby (Marie) Masters, David Masters, and Lindsay (Candee) Masters. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by many wonderful nieces and nephews, including his special niece, Chasity Masters, and special nephew, Eric Masters. Ronald's circle extended beyond family, as he cherished his caregiver and special friend, Brenda Cogdill, and held dear relationships with his sisters-in-law Debra Singletary, Jamie Masters, and Tonya Lawrence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Franklin Masters and Sallie Clark Masters, his twin brother, Donald "Donnie" Addison Masters, who passed away in 2020, nephews, Michael Masters and his dear friend, James Cogdill.
A graveside service to honor Ronnie's life will be held at Saturday, at Hollywood Cemetery in Gastonia, NC, on November 8, 2025 with Reverend Rufus Johnson officiating at 12:00 PM. In the hearts of those he touched, Ronnie Masters will always be remembered as a wonderful, kind friend—the true essence of an unforgettable life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gastonia Police Foundation, 200 E. Long Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28052
