Ronnie Gene McGahee, a cherished father and friend, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the age of 72. He was born August 10, 1953, in Albertville, Alabama to Bobby McGahee and Clarice Garner McGahee. Ron McGahee was a man of compassion and determination. He was known for his sense of humor and charity. He was a loving father to his children.
He dedicated ten years of his career, working as a district manager for a newspaper company. His passion was building beautiful homes as a carpenter and contractor for over thirty years. One of his homes that he built was featured in Better Homes and Gardens.
He is survived by his children, Melissa Brown and husband Emmitte Brown; Monti McGahee and wife Kimberly McGahee; and Matthew McGahee; his grandchildren, Monti McGahee 11 and wife Sarah McGahee; Elishah Shelton, Joshua McGahee, Julianna McGahee, and Mariah McGahee; and two great grandsons, Jasper McGahee and Lucas Shelton.
A forthcoming Graveside Service to honor Ronnie will be held at Lebanon Baptist Cemetery.
