He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Vester & Stradie Dial and Ralph & Tressie Slate.
Mr. Slate leaves to cherish his memories, children: Ramani Slate of Lumberton, Ronnie Slate Jr. of Raeford, and Rayon Slate of Lumberton; his parents: Ralph & Joyce Slate of the home; his brother: Ralph Allen Slate (Priscilla) of Red Springs; his sister: Belinda Joyce Slate Williamson (Rocky Kurt) of Rennert; two grandchildren; two aunts: Lucy Dial of Red Springs and Eleanor Locklear of Pembroke; two uncles: James Dial of Red Springs and Mike Slate of red Springs as well as a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 7-9 P.M. at Boles Funeral Home in Red Springs.
The funeral will be Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 3 P.M. at South Hoke Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
