Ronnie K. Stone, 62, of Abbeville, husband of Amanda Ayers Stone, died Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the Abbeville Area Medical Center. He was born in Abbeville to the late Albert Gordon and Shelby Jean Moore Stone.

Affectionately known as ‘Sad Daddy’, Ronnie was a 1980 graduate of Dixie High School. He dedicated a significant portion of his life to his career at Charter Communications before retiring to focus on the joys of life outside of work. Ronnie was passionate about many things, but his love for sports was unparalleled. He was an enthusiastic fan of the Gamecocks and closely followed NASCAR racing. Additionally, he found joy in fishing where he would often find peace in nature, combined with the thrill of a good catch. No matter the activity, it was the company of friends and family that made the moments truly unforgettable – a testament to a life well-lived and deeply cherished.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Moore Stone.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Amanda, of the home; his children, Dale Dansby and his wife, Amanda, and Amanda Stone Clark and her husband, Russell; a special niece, Tosha Hanna and her husband, Jeff; three grandchildren, Mackenzie Dilworth and her husband, Jay, Rylee Dansby and Addyson Dansby; brother-in-law, Joey Ayers and his wife, Susan; and two nephews, Dustin and Jeremy.

The family will receive friends 4:00PM – 5:00PM, Monday, January 20, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Ronnie’s life will begin at 5:30PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jimmy Tucker officiating.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Ronnie, may be sent the South Carolina Autism Society, 806 12th Street, West Columbia, SC 29169.

The family is at the home of Amanda and Russell Clark.
