Roosevelt Jerome Duval was born September 23, 1953 to the late Nathaniel and Patsy Duval in Palmetto, Florida. Roosevelt was reared by his grandparents, the late Roosevelt, Sr. and Josie Duval.

He attended Lincoln High School and graduated from Palmetto High School in the class of 1971. After graduating he joined the National Guard.

Roosevelt was a long distance truck driver and traveled for many years. He loved fishing, hunting, repairing and racing cars, and caring for his dogs.

He is preceded in death by a son, Roosevelt, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories: children: Demetri Duval, Sr., Sara Duval, Alex (A J) Duval, Lea Duval, Skyiea Duval, Christopher Duval, and step daughter, Jennifer Ward (Christopher); grandchildren: Demetri Duval Jr., Jalynn Duval, Dominique Duval, Darius Duval, Darren Duval, Cedric Anderson, Jr., Shanashia Anderson, Jerome Anderson, Ja'mar Anderson, Jahmir Smith, Kamora Smith, Alex Duval, Jr., Jasmine Duval, Henry Singletary, Nikita Wood, and Shayla Wood; great grandchild, Darrius, Jr.; sister, Ruth Duval; nephew, Darryl Baker; grand niece, Demi Baker, grand nephew, Darryl Baker, Jr; and a host of cousins and friends.
