Rory Bradshaw Lynn, 41, passed away in his home on April 23, 2022 after suffering from a pulmonary embolism.
Rory was born on December 6th, 1980 to Dwight "Bud" and Lynda Lynn of Notch, at Skaggs Hospital in Branson Mo.
Rory attended Reeds Spring Schools from kindergarten until his last semester of his Senior year. Rory wanted to be a Marine. He moved to Columbia Mo., to finish his Senior year and to live with his cousin, Bryon, who was in the Marine Corps. While there he was able to drill and participate with the Marines attending Mizzou.
After High School he went to boot camp in California. While in the Marine Corps he studied Avionics Engineering. He spent time in California, North Carolina and Florida. He was honorably discharged and returned to Missouri and went to Three Rivers College where he earned an associates degree in Drafting/Engineering, Cum Laude. It was in Poplar Bluff that he began to develop a strong interest in Ministry having been influenced by Pastor Ron Webb.
This interest led him to spend an enormous amount of time with his parents in music ministry. While attending The Sanctuary of Hope Church he was given a pastorals license for his continuous efforts in growing the kingdom.
Rory returned to the Branson area where he studied nursing and earned an associates degree in Biological Clinical Science, Cum Laude from OTC. While attending OTC he received scholarships from White River Electric Company and the Skaggs Foundation. While in OTC he volunteered at Cox Branson. This led to his employment at Cox as a Lab Tech.
Rory leaves a legacy of perseverance. He struggled with mental illness and post traumatic stress his entire adult life. Even through his struggles he persevered to lead a life of purpose, and through that he provides an example to others with the same demons that there is hope. The fight is worth the pain for those that struggle and their families.
Rory was affectionately referred to as the "Gentle Giant" by those that knew him. He deeply loved the Lord, spending time with his parents, his nieces, Cardinals Baseball and Pepper Belly the fat cat.
Rory was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Robert and Pauline Lynn, and Maternal Grandparents Pete and Pauline Bradshaw. He is survived by
his parents Bud and Lynda Lynn, Notch Mo, brother Jeremy, his wife Angela and nieces Bailey and Addison Lynn and dozens of uncles, aunts and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2022 at Greenlawn Funeral Home Branson.
Funeral services will be Saturday April 30th at 2:00 pm at Faith and Wisdom Church, Branson, under the direction of Pastors Sam Kaunley, Mike Brown and Ron Webb, with interment to follow at Yokum Pond Cemetery.
