Rosa Feliciano Acevedo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and community volunteer, passed away peacefully in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 28, 2025, at the age of 86.
Rosa was born on April 1, 1939 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, and was raised in New York City. On July 11, 1959, she married the love of her life, Jose Acevedo. Together they shared 66 wonderful years of marriage and built a life filled with family, love, and cherished traditions.
Rosa worked as a bank teller at Midatlantic Bank in Bergen County, New Jersey where she was known for her warmth, kindness, and dedication to her customers and colleagues. She was also an active member of her community, serving proudly as Past President of the Saddle Brook Women's Club.
Beyond her career, family, and community services, Rosa's greatest joys came from her love of crafting and cooking, passions she shared generously with family and friends.
She will be deeply missed by her children Joseph Acevedo and Catherine Acevedo Harper (Thomas); her grandchildren Carmine Harper Simpson ( Brendan) Isabel Acevedo Harper, Alison Acevedo, and Elizabeth Flynn; and her Great -grandchildren Sophia, and Marco Dantas. She will also be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rosa's family finds comfort in knowing that her legacy of love, creativity and service lives on through them.
Services will be private with interment to occur in New Jersey. Donations may be made in Rosa's memory to Kosair for Kids, an organization close to the family's heart.
