Rosa "Rose" Lee (Jones) Anderson of Farmersville, CA passed away in Fresno, CA on February 12th, 2024.
She was born in Los Angeles, CA in 1941 to Manual and Ella Jones. Her family settled in the Farmersville/Exeter area and Rose graduated from Exeter High School in 1956. After marrying Jimmy Barnett, they welcomed a son, Jimmy Dale in 1968. She later married Bobby Anderson and gained two stepchildren, Yvette and Shannon. Rose and Bobby stayed in the Farmersville/Exeter area and welcomed a daughter, Victoria in 1978.
Rose was known for her kindness and loving heart. She was a homemaker except for small stints helping the family pick fruit from time to time. Rose liked spending time with her brothers and sisters, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed outings with her husband Bobby driving around looking for yard sales or a car to trade. Over the years Rose and Bobby took pride in planting a garden and enjoying what they grew. One year Rose and Bobby won first prize at the Tulare County Fair for a watermelon that weighed almost 200 pounds. Along with gardening, she enjoyed canning. Rose was also known for having a home cooked meal every night. She was especially famous for making her delicious homemade biscuits and gravy.
Rose loved being outdoors. She loved to be out on a drive, visiting the coast and mountains, camping and fishing. She loved the fresh air. No matter how cold it was outside, Rose liked to have the doors and windows open to let the outside air in the house.
She also enjoyed going to the casinos and playing bingo. She and Bobby spent time at the Elks Lodge and local casinos and would also join with friends on trips to Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, and Reno to travel and enjoy time together.
Rose is survived by her son, Jimmy Dale (Stephanie) Barnett; Daughter, Victoria Anderson; Sisters, Mary (Brad) Crist, Jeanie (Kenny) Philpot; brother, Danny (Linda) Jones. 18 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins including Paul McBride whom she considered like a son to her.
She is preceded by her parents, Manual and Ella Jones; husband, Bobby Anderson; Sister, Betty (Pete) Ellis; brother, Elbert (Edna) Jones.
Services will be Friday, February 23rd at 1:00 p.m. and will be immediately followed by a Celebration of Life at 980 S. Cornucopia Rd in Exeter, CA.
