Dover: Rosa Dunning Valdivia, the beloved matriarch of our family, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, just two days shy of her 93rd birthday. She has now reunited with her devoted husband, John, who preceded her in death on July 8th of this year.
Rosa was born in Callao, Peru, and later came to the United States with John, settling in Dover, New Jersey, where they raised their three children: Liz, Frank, and George. She was a dedicated employee of Howmet Corporation for 25 years.
Rosa had a passion for cooking, sewing, and traveling. She and John shared a remarkable 70 years of marriage and 75 years together in total. Through their loving union, they were blessed with 3 children, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-granddaughters.
She was predeceased by her husband John, her parents Flora and Roman Valdivia, her siblings Augusto, Clotilde, Bertha, and Victor, as well as her cherished grandchildren Ricky and Stefanie.
Rosa was a pillar of strength and love in our family. Her unwavering dedication and warm presence will be missed beyond words.

Visitation will be held 4 to 7pm on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton, NJ 07885.

A funeral mass will be held 10am on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church, 4 Richards Ave., Dover, NJ 07801.

Interment will be private.
