Rosa Elvira Elias Michel

October 24, 1951 – May 12, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rosa Elvira Elias Michel, who left this world on May 12, 2025, at the age of 73, surrounded by the love of her family.
Rosa was born on October 24, 1951, in Casimiro Castillo, Jalisco, to Leonardo Elias and Evangelina Michel. She married José Luis Rodríguez in 1969. She was an extraordinary woman, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a person of immense strength. Throughout her life, she faced countless challenges with courage, faith, and determination. No matter how difficult things became, she never gave up. Rosa was a true fighter, someone who gave everything she had for the well-being of her family, always with dignity and love.
She was endlessly hardworking, generous at heart, and had an incredible capacity to give. Rosa left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. She was the heart of her family, a role model, and the soul of many of our most cherished memories.
Rosa deeply loved her grandchildren and always found ways to make them smile. One of the most beautiful ways she showed her love was through cooking. She loved making homemade desserts and bread, and you could taste the love in every bite. She was especially known for her delicious niño envuelto, orange bread, and empanadas. Her recipes didn't just fill our stomachs; they filled our hearts. Those flavors will always remind us of her, and we will miss them dearly.
She is survived by her children: Juan Rodríguez, Noemí Rodríguez, Norma Rodríguez, Miguel Rodríguez, Lourdes Rodríguez, Mayra Rodríguez, and Rosa Yurianna Rodríguez, who will forever remember her with love, gratitude, and deep respect.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Leonardo Elias and Evangelina Michel, and her brothers, Sergio Elias and Rogelio Elias, with whom she is now reunited in eternal rest. She will also be reunited in heaven with her beloved daughter, Guadalupe (Lupita) Rodríguez, whom she loved deeply.
Her legacy of strength, sacrifice, and unconditional love will live on forever in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. We will miss her deeply, but we are comforted knowing that her spirit and the lessons she left us will continue to guide us for the rest of our lives.
