Rosa Gonzalez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Doolittle Funeral Home on Feb. 18, 2026.
Rosa Gonzalez, 75, of Middletown, Connecticut, passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2026.

Born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. Rosa carried her strength, warmth, and deep love for family with her throughout her life. She later made her home in Middletown, where she built a life centered around family, friendship, and community.

Rosa was the definition of selfless. She was incredibly caring and always there at the drop of a hat whenever someone needed her. She was the strongest woman her family knew, facing life's challenges with resilience and grace.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Miguel Gonzalez, with whom she shared 29 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her mother, Rosa Arroyo, and her father, Emilio Arroyo.

Rosa is survived by her loving daughters, Michelle Rosano and her husband, Alex Rosano and Anna Gregory. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Tyler, Andrew, Gabriella, Elena, and Everly. Affectionately known as "Webe" to her grandchildren, she would always say her granddaughters were her world, and her love for all her grandchildren was endless.

She is also survived by her sisters, Carmen Cintron of Middletown and Eva Arroyo of San Diego, California, and her brothers, Luis and Ramon of Yabucoa, Puerto Rico.

Rosa had a passion for ceramics and found joy in creativity. She loved playing bingo weekly with the residents at Luther Ridge and stayed active by participating in exercise classes. Cooking was one of her greatest expressions of love-everyone who knew her knew her for her incredible meals. She cherished her daily phone calls, especially calling her daughters each morning just to check in and make sure everyone was okay.

Rosa's love, strength, and generosity will leave a lasting imprint on all who knew her. She will truly be missed more than she will ever know. Her family finds comfort in believing she has been reunited with her husband, Miguel, and that God has welcomed her home.
