Rosa Linda Chavarria, a cherished soul born on June 20, 1950, in Poteet, Texas, to Ampara Zulaica Benitez and Manuel A. Benitez, graced this world with her warmth and kindness for 74 beautiful years. She passed away September 7, 2024. Rosa Linda's vibrant spirit shone brightly throughout her life, especially on February 24, 1968, when she united in love with Emilio Ramon Chavarria, Jr. Their bond was a testament to love's power, enduring even during Emilio's passing on February 16, 2018.
Rosa Linda dedicated many years of her life as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at the Tahoka Care Center, where her nurturing heart touched the lives of many. Her love for her family was profound; she treasured every moment spent with them and took solace in her faith as a devoted Catholic, often finding peace and strength among her church community.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Emilio Chavarria III and his wife Linda, Adam Chavarria and wife Charlotte, Jose Chavarria, and Manuela Chavarria. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Zabrina Johnson, Isaac Chavarria and wife Avery, James Chavarria, and Amanda Leffew, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, John Paul Chavarria, Jesse Santino Segura, Branson Morin, Amari Smith, and Braeleigh Curtis.
Rosa Linda is also survived by her beloved siblings: Teodora B. Castro, Manuela Reyes, JoAnne Benitez, Johnny Benitez, and Manuel Benitez. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Ray Benitez, Richard Benitez, Steven Benitez, and her sister, Esmeralda B. Diaz.
As we remember Rosa Linda, we celebrate her vibrant life, her unwavering love for her family, and the countless lives she impacted with her compassion and grace. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who loved her.
