Rosa Modica Obituary
Rosa was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, nonna and bisnonna, whose greatest joy was gathering around the table with her family. She loved cooking and her home was always filled with the smells of Sunday dinner, a fresh pot of coffee and the warmth of being together. Her love, traditions and generosity will live on in all of us.
Rosa was the beloved wife of the late Benedetto. She is survived by her three children and their spouses John and Joann, Concetta and Rob, and Rita and Frank. She was a loving Nonna to her five grandchildren and their spouses, John, Michael and Ashley, Nicholas and Bree, Jessica and Daniel and Brianna and John. Rosa was a great grandmother to James and her two soon-to-arrive great granddaughters. She will be so greatly missed and will be in our hearts forever.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
