Rosa Resto Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals on Jan. 28, 2026.
Rosa's life was a testament to her devotion to her family. She was a loving mother to her son, Sherrahn Crudup, and her daughter, Ciera Crudup, whom she shared with their father, Milton Crudup. Though Rosa and Milton were not together as a couple in recent years, their relationship was uniquely defined by shared history, mutual respect, and their love for their children. Like many families, they faced difficulties, yet time and again they set differences aside, especially at family gatherings and for the sake of their children.
Her children were the center of her world, and she nurtured them with the same warmth and affection she extended to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Rosa's bond with her mother, Rosa, remained a source of strength and comfort throughout her life. She also shared a special connection with her brother and sister-in-law, Angel and Kelly Resto and her 6 yr old niece Vivienne Resto, who loved her dearly.
Rosa shared a particularly close bond with her children's father's side of the family. She had a sister-like relationship with Tasha, Milton's sister, and through thick and thin they saw and treated one another as true sisters. Rosa also shared a loving relationship with her children's cousins on that side of the family, whom she treated as her own nieces and nephews, a bond that was returned as they embraced her as an aunt as if she were blood.
She was also blessed with close friendships that became family. Among them was her dear friend Raquel, with whom she spoke nearly every day. Their relationship was one of deep trust, love, and sisterhood.
Professionally, Rosa was known for her dedication and care as a school bus driver most recently with the Seman Tov bus company. She approached her work with a sense of responsibility, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children she transported daily. Her colleagues and the families she served respected her for her reliability and the cheerful spirit she brought to her job.
Rosa's faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions and providing solace during life's trials. Rosa's commitment to her faith was evident in her kindness and the grace with which she treated everyone she met.
On her final day, Rosa experienced a truly meaningful and joyful time surrounded by family. She spent cherished moments with her children's older sister, Shaniece, her daughter Ciera, and Shaniece's children, Delani and Shakhi, whom Rosa loved as her own grandchildren. Later that day, Rosa shared a warm evening with her son Sherrahn, her brother Angel, her sister-in-law Kelly, her mother Rosa, and her niece Vivienne, as they exchanged Christmas gifts and enjoyed one another's company.
Those who knew Rosa will remember her as a Godly woman whose life was a living example of the virtues she held dear. She was loving and kind, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a word of encouragement. Her faith-filled presence was a beacon of hope and inspiration, and her legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched.
Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday, February 2nd from 5 - 8 pm. A Service will conclude the evening and a private cremation will follow.
