It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosa Elia Solis, a beloved mother, daughter, and educator, who peacefully departed this life on November 27, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on September 5, 1960, in Weslaco, Texas, Rosa dedicated her life to inspiring young minds as a teacher. Her passion for education and her unwavering commitment to her students left a lasting impact on the numerous lives she touched throughout her career.

She radiated warmth wherever she went, like a gentle light that brightened every room she entered. She looked at you in a way that made you feel truly seen like your story mattered, your struggles were understood, and your joys celebrated. She was always the first to offer help and last to expect anything in return.

As a mother, she created a home filled with warmth and laughter where every child felt safe and cherished. As a sister, she was a confidante and a loyal friend, always ready with encouragement or even a helping hand. In the classroom, she saw more than students. She saw individuals full of potential and unique gifts and inspired them to believe in themselves. Even with strangers, she had a way of making people feel valued, soothing their fears and brought so much comfort by just being there. She was the kind of person whose influence rippled outward, quietly changing people for the better.

She was also much more than a teacher of lessons, she was a model of how to live. Through her actions she showed others how to face life with courage, to forgive, to be humble, to treat everyone with respect, and to keep faith when things felt uncertain.

Her love knew no boundaries. She gave her heart fully, holding nothing back and loving without expectation. Her affection was honest, and deep, a love you could rely on, even when the world felt uncertain.

She was forever the heart and glue of our family, guiding everyone through life's storms. She was the one who remembered birthdays, who brought people together for the holidays and summer vacations, who quietly keeps tracks of everyone's needs and made sure no one felt alone. She made home truly felt like home.

Her legacy will forever lived on in the lives she's touched, the kindness she inspired, and the love she generously gave. More than anything, she loved with an open, generous heart. She didn't hold back, she gave everything she had every single day. This was her true gift. The ability to love deeply. There's no mother, no aunt, no sister, no friend like her and no one else could ever replace her.

Rosa is preceded in death by her father, Fernando Leal and her beloved husband of 43 years, Oscar Noe Solis.

She is survived by her son, Oscar David Solis (Giovanna Carrasco); her daughter, Chelsea Marie Solis; her mother, Esperanza Leal; three brothers, Martin Leal, Fernando Leal, Roberto Leal; two sisters, Mary Carr and Martha Leal.

Famliy and friends are invited to honor her memory with a viewing that will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of The Heavens with a 7:00 PM Rosary.

A 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church, where friends and family will gather to share their memories and honor Rosa's life. Following the Mass, she will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park.

Rosa leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and dedication that will resonate in the hearts of many. As we come together to remember her, let us keep her spirit alive through the stories we share and the lives we continue to touch in her honor.
