Rosa Trujillo Obituary
Rosa dedicated her life to her family and community, embodying the values of love, service, and dedication. She was a cherished wife, mother, sister, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her. Her family was always her highest priority, and she found immense joy in spending time chatting on the phone with her sibling.
Rosa worked as a MWR recreational aide (awards and engraving) for the US Army at Ft. Eustis, where she contributed to the well-being and morale of countless service members and their families. Her commitment to service extended beyond her professional life; she was a former member of the NCO Wives Club and USO volunteered, offering support and companionship to those in need.
In her leisure time, Rosa enjoyed knitting and quilting, creating beautiful pieces that will be treasured by her loved ones for years to come. She also found pleasure in cooking, listening to Tex-Mex music, and watching a good mystery movie. Her home was a haven of warmth and creativity, filled with the laughter and love of family gatherings.
Rosa is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Felipe A. and Francisca Quintela, her son Ernesto A. Trujillo I, and her brother Jose F. Quintela. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by her husband of 53 years, Gustavo Trujillo, her daughter Lorraine Trujillo, her sisters Carmen Q. Reimer and Maria Q. Ruiz, her brother Felipe Quintela, Jr., and a host of nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her memory.
A memorial service to honor Rosa's life will be held at Ft. Eustis at a later date, where family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who gave so much to others.
Rosa Quintela Trujillo will be remembered for her unwavering love, her gentle spirit, and her lifelong dedication to her family and community. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
To honor her memory, the family requests donations to the Riverside College of Health Careers Make A Difference Fund in Newport News, Virginia.
