Rose Alice Chambers

Rose Alice Chambers, 96, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, January 20, 2026. She was born on July 4, 1929, in Beaumont, to Leah Spinx and Thomas Nugent Shoemake.

Rose was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She absolutely loved her grandkids, and they loved their Mimi. She loved it on Lake Toledo Bend. She could spend all her days there at her lake house. She was an absolute joy to be around, always telling her grandkids stories of the older days and how it was back with her growing up. She enjoyed listening to her classical music. She loved Sundays at church when she could get there. Rose Alice and her late husband, Charlie, after he retired spend a lot of time over several years traveling all over the place. Her favorite place they visited was Alaska. She did so many adventures and things in her time and loved every part of it. She had a great life and will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her daughters-in-law, Helen Chambers and Jana Chambers; granddaughter, Laura Riddick; and great-grandsons, Trevor Riddick, Jr. and Trevis Riddick.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Steven Chambers; sons, Robert Chambers and Michael Chambers.

A graveside service for Mrs. Chambers will be 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
