Rose Craig Obituary

Rose Marie Craig, 65, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 4, 1957, in Butler, and was the only daughter of the late George Edward Lavery Sr. and Catherine (Bowser) Lavery.
Rose was a godly woman who loved Jesus, and had a meek spirit about her. She was a member of the North Street Christian Church, where she served by teaching at children's church once a month, helped out at community meals, attended Bible studies, and had always helped out in any way she could.
She retired from Sunnyview Nursing Home as a housekeeper. After her retirement in December of 2008, she delivered papers for the Butler Eagle.
She loved her pets, especially her cats. Rose was a devoted wife and mother, who loved to cook and bake for her family. She enjoyed putting puzzles together and going to yard sales.
Surviving are her husband of 27 years, Gregory Craig of Butler, whom she married on Sept. 15, 1995; two sons, Caleb Craig and his fiancée, Reva Balaski and her son, Dominic, of Lyndora, and Joshua Craig of Butler; five brothers, George "Eddie" (Melanie) Lavery Jr. of Philipsburg, Pa., Timothy Paul Lavery of Butler, Joseph Lavery of Chicora, Ricky Lavery of Arnold, Pa., and Donald Lavery of Monaca; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friends, Linda, Brenda and her Bible study groups.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
CRAIG - Friends of Rose Marie Craig, who died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Worked with Rose at Sunnyview for many years , she was so kind to all. Worked very hard and was good at what she did. She cared about the residents and was a very faithful employee to Sunnyview. My condolences to her husband, sons , and family. May God guide you through your time of grieving and adjusting to a new life without a woman that loved everyone she knew.
