Rose Mary Dennis

Rose Mary Dennis, 81, of Ranger Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 27, 2025. Born to William Homer and Sadie Inez Ishmael on July 4,1944 in Hunt County, the 3rd of 14 children.

She graduated high school in McKinney, Texas and found her calling in helping and caring for others. She especially loved working with MHMR clients, she worked as a Program and Recreation Aid at Northview Development Center for 6 years. She enjoyed working with the elderly, gardening, canning and sharing whatever she had. She loved going on country walks and being with her children and grandchildren. She loved going to church, family reunions and anything that brought people together, you weren't just a friend, you became family because friendship was very important to her, she cherished relationships and enjoyed spending time together. She was active in the community, a member of the Ranger Task Force as well as volunteering at The Quarter Store.

She met Richard and they married, September 13,1983, in Breckenridge, Texas and together they served the Lord the rest of his life and hers, singing and ministering wherever the Holy Spirit led. Together they pastored, sang and were spiritual parents to so many.

Rose Mary is survived by Randy D. Jones, Sr., Stepson Dan Dennis and wife Doris, Stepson Scott Dennis and wife Janie, Stepson Robert (Bob) Dennis and wife Jeannie and Stepdaughter Martha Meazell.

Four brothers, David Ishmael, Tom Ishmael and wife Geleta, James Ishmael and Linda Mac, Ricky Ishmael, Sr. and wife Rhonda.

Five sisters, Bessie Ensley, Barbara Ballew, Kathy Hutcheson and husband Jackie, Linda Trlica and husband Tommy, Nina Hudson and husband Kenneth.

Special friend Jerry Harris, Katheryn Dunaway and Tom Hatton

Eleven Grandchildren, Randy Dwayne Jones, Jr., Sara Germany and husband Kevin, Amy Walston and husband Bobby, Cody Jones and wife Veronia, Chad and Jeremy Stephens, Krystal Meazell, Jennifer Nolt and husband Brent, Andrea Gardner and husband Benjamin, Ethan and Alyssa Dennis numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rose Mary is preceded in death by her husband Richard, son Charles Jones, her father William Homer Ishmael and mother Sadie Holt Ishmael. Sisters Sadie Ishmael and Nancy Taylor. Brothers Ray Ishmael and Arnold Glen Ishmael.

Funeral service and visitation will be held on December 1, 2025, at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, Texas. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The service will follow afterward, starting at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery, there will be no graveside service.
