Rose Marie Didia

Rose Marie Didia, age 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 7, 1931 to parents Elmer Schultz and Rose (nee Janeka) Schultz in Detroit, Michigan. Rose grew up in Detroit alongside her two siblings, Elmer and Gloria.

In 1951, Rose married the love of her life, William Didia in Detroit. Together, they raised four beautiful children: Debra, Marilyn, Gloria, and Steven. Family was everything to both Rose and William. They were happily married for forty-five years, before William's passing in 1996.

Rose was a simple woman, someone who enjoyed the little things in life. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, and completing crossword puzzles. Rose was a kind soul and shared her love with whomever she met--there was not a person she did not deeply care for. Her kindness was unwavering, and she would do absolutely anything to help those around her, especially if it were family.

Beloved wife of the late William Didia. Dear mother of Debra Didia, Marilyn (Scott Evers) Didia, Gloria (Dave Swineford) Diaz, and Steven (Pamela) Didia. Cherished grandmother of Mark Diaz, and Justin (Maikala) McMann. Adored sister of the late Elmer (Viola) Schultz, and the late Gloria (Leonard) Allen.

Services for Rose will remain private for immediately family only at this time. Burial to take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan, where Rose will be reunited with the love of her life, William.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity of choice, or that you simply treat others with kindness in honor of Rose. Kindness has a lasting impact, and we should all strive to share more of it-just as Rose always did.
