SCHENECTADY – Rose M. Glibbery, 92, passed away peacefully at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by the love and presence of her devoted family. Born in Jamaica, Queens, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Angelina Tocco Cangelosi.
In 1951, Rose married the love of her life, James E. Glibbery. Together, they created a home full of warmth, faith, and unwavering devotion. They were blessed with four children, whom Rose cherished beyond measure. Her life was deeply centered around her role as a mother-one she embraced with boundless love, patience, and grace. Her children always knew the strength of her support and the depth of her affection.
As the family grew, so did Rose's joy. Her love extended to her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her nurturing spirit, steady encouragement, and unconditional love made her the heart of the family across generations. Rose enjoyed the Holidays, crafts and crocheting.
She also enjoyed cooking her delicious Italian dinners and her famous Italian cookies.
Rose and Jay shared a remarkable bond for 57 years, until his passing in 2008, one enriched not only by family life but by their shared passion for their family
