Rose Grogan

PRINCETON- Rose Nell Grogan, 92, of Princeton, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025. Born January 20, 1933, in Bluefield, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Rev. Minnie McCallahan Tibbs.

Rose was a loving, and patient women who loved her family dearly and always put others before herself. She had a great sense of humor and found true joy in life. She had a great love for God that she instilled in her family and showed to all around her. Rose was a member of Airport First Church of God where she was a part of the Women's Auxiliary. She was a former employee of Maidenform and Grants.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Grogan; son, J.D. Grogan, Jr.; infant grandchild, Evan Hastings; sons-in-law, David Walker, and Rick Hastings; and siblings, Mildred Perkins, Francis Hager, Irene Hodges, Blake Tibbs, Kyle Tibbs, Bill Tibbs, and Raymond Tibbs.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Terri Walker, and Jerri Murphy and husband Dempsey, Donald Grogan and wife Angela, and Donna Hastings; nine grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren; special nephew, Jack Hager; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Jamie Mattox, officiating. The family will receive visitors from noon until the service hour.

Interment will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Monte Vista Park Cemetery in Green Valley. Friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m.
