Marie was born on January 26, 1935 to Helen and Lloyd Dovell in California. She was married to her beloved husband of 62 years Tom Hamilton. The two of them met when they were just teenagers. She later went on to become the valedictorian of her class and worked for the Colusa hospital from 1968 to 2015. Marie had a passion for showing her greyhounds at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
Marie is survived by her children Lorraine Maples, Cheryll (Joe) Dennis, David Hamilton; grandchildren Arwin, Leann, Kelly, Kayla (Mark) Zilch, Shelly (Mark) Connor, Curtis Hamilton; 9 grandchildren; sisters Mary (David) Raphel, Davette (Gordon) Cooley, and Sandy Dovell.
She is preceded in death by her husband Tom Hamilton; parents Lloyd Dovell and Helen Dovell, and Son-in-law Jim Maples.
