Rose Lopez Hoover, 90, passed away peacefully at her home on August 23, 2025. She was born on June 20, 1935, in Glendale, Arizona, to Severo and Francisca Lopez. The youngest of ten children, Rose grew up surrounded by a large and loving family and spent much of her life in Casa Grande, Arizona.

In 1962, Rose married her first husband, Joseph Soto. They shared more than 35 years of marriage before Joseph's passing from cancer. Later, she married her second husband, Orren L. Hoover of Fillmore, California. After moving there, Rose and Orren enjoyed 14 wonderful years together until his unexpected passing in 2016.

Rose had many joys in life. She loved shopping, sewing, crocheting, and gardening. She was happiest when dancing, listening to music, enjoying sweets, especially baked goods, or cooking meals for her family. She also appreciated a good glass of wine or an occasional shot of tequila shared in good company.

After Orren's passing, Rose moved to Bakersfield, California, where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law until her final days.

Rose is survived by her children through marriage to Orren: daughter Victoria Martin and son-in-law Randy Martin, daughter Karen McCormick, and son Greg Hoover. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, including Ruby Couhan, Stan Couhan, Lola Thomas, Cathy Lopez, Mike Lopez, Richard Lopez, and Robert Lopez, along with countless others who cherished her deeply.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Severo and Francisca Lopez; her husbands, Joseph Soto and Orren Hoover; her sisters Adilina, Cruz, Mary, and Helen; her brothers Louis, Raymond, Frank, Dolores, and Severo; and numerous nieces and nephews who passed before her.
