Rose M. Johnson

Rose M. (Maillet) Johnson, 73, of Westminster, died peacefully Friday, January 20, 2023, after an illness.
She was born in Gardner on December 19, 1949, the daughter of the late Telesphore J. and Julienne M. (Vautour) Maillet. She was predeceased by a brother, Leo Maillet.
Rose, with her husband Ed, were Co-Owners and Operators of Ed Johnson Concrete Foundations for many years prior to her retirement.
Rose maintained several hobbies in her spare time, such as gardening, ceramics, and hunting trips with her husband. She was involved in the community as a CCD teacher and Girl Scout leader. Her greatest pride was her family. A devoted homemaker, her greatest pleasures were the times spent traveling and camping with loved ones.
Rose is survived by her husband of 53-years, Edward J. Johnson of Westminster; her four children, Rachel Boutwell and her husband Scott of Phillipston, Mark Johnson of Hubbardston, Christine Meagher and her husband Kevin of Westminster and Lynn Spellman and her husband Edward of Winchendon. Rose was a beloved Memére to eight grandchildren, Kayla and Colby, Colton, Jillian, and Addyson, Julia, Eddie, and Elliot. She was a sister to Anita Boudreau of Gardner, Vincent Maillet and his wife Doris of Gardner, Aurele Maillet of Nashua, NH, and Francis Maillet of Baldwinville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling Hours will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner, MA.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 27, 2023, from the funeral home, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church Street, Westminster, MA. Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery, West Street, Gardner, MA, will be held at a later date.
