Rose M. Kiefer, 85, of Lebanon, PA, died Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Alpine Valley Post Acute and Healthcare Center, Lebanon.
She was the wife of Leroy H. Kiefer, Jr., who died June 11, 2008.
Born in Lebanon, PA on July 5, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow W. and Sarah M. (Kerr) Eberly.
A 1958 graduate of Lebanon High School, she worked as a secretary for Tabor UCC, Lebanon. Rose was a member of the Lebanon Senior Center, Myerstown. She was a Sunday School teacher at Tabor UCC and volunteered with Friends of Animals, Music in the Park at Coleman Park, and Lebanon County 4H. Rose cherished spending time with her family, enjoyed knitting and crafts, and adored any furry animal she encountered.
Rose is survived by her daughters, Sarah Kiefer wife of William Rohm of Duncannon and Suellen (Kiefer) wife of Scott Hentz of Myerstown; grandchildren, Steffan Bomberger husband of Dr. Christopher Stewart of Lititz, Hannah Hentz Pouffary wife of Richard Pouffary of York and Ethan Hentz of Myerstown; sister, Anne (Eberly) wife of Brad Riffle of Lebanon; nephews, Dr. Ezekiel Wertz of Newport News, VA, Gabriel Wertz of Elk Grove, CA, husband of Athena and their children, Matthias, Elian and Montana and Nathanael Wertz of Lebanon.
Visitation with family and friends will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 13, 2025 all to be held in the Grose Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, PA 17067. Interment private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
