Rose Krenzel age 101, died on Thursday October 10, 2024, at St. Aloisius Long Term Care in Harvey, North Dakota.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2024, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Selz, ND. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, October 18 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by the Rosary and Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at the Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.
Rose was born on March 9, 1923 on the family farm northwest of Selz. She was the daughter of William and Magdalena (Fettig) Kraft. She grew up in a large farm family in the Selz, ND area. Rose married Pius C. Krenzel on November 12, 1945 in Selz. For many years, Rose and Pius operated the general store and post office in Selz, ND. She loved to bake and made great pastries, along with German Russian meals to honor the tradition of their heritage. She was a member of Saint Anthony's Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers' group and her faith was of great importance to her. In the latter part of her life, she resided at St. Aloisius Long Term Care where she was well known and participated in every event she could. The staff at the long-term care facility was beloved by her.
Rose is survived by two sisters Bernice Kraft Kelly (Albert) and Maggie Huber (Archie), sons
Charles (Linda) Krenzel and Duane (Debbie) Krenzel, multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rose was preceded by her husband Pius C. Krenzel, 11 siblings, and sons, Pius Jr. and Dennis.
Thank you to the sisters and staff at SMP Health-St. Aloisius Long Term Care for the care and love she received as a resident.
