Rose M. Kuhn, 75, of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, November 21, 2022, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, Illinois.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.
The former Rose Marie VanDeWoestyne was born April 8, 1947, in Moline, the daughter of Seraphine and Rachel (De Pauw) VanDeWoestyne. She married Tom Kuhn on June 8, 1965, in Springfield, Missouri. He died February 11, 2017.
Rose worked at Eagles Grocery Store for over 18 years. Along with her husband, Tom, she was a foster parent to over 800 children over the years. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, gardening, dancing, roller skating, cooking (especially fried chicken), and reading romance novels. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Rose is survived by four children, Thomas (Danielle) Kuhn of Missouri, Brandi Kuhn of Moline, Lori Caudill of Bettendorf, and Josh Kuhn of Moline; and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Charlie VanDeWoestyne; and her beloved dog, Patches.
