Rose M. Liggitt

Rose Liggitt, 81 of Hellertown, PA formerly of Northampton-Allen Twsp., PA passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Saucon Valley Manor in Hellertown, PA. Born July 29, 1942 in Coaldale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Marlin Heisler and the late Louisa (Cresswell) Heisler. She was the wife of the late Oliver E. Liggitt, Jr. who passed away March 15, 2005.
Rose was a 1960 graduate of Northampton Area High School and was last employed in custodial services for Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville, PA until retiring. Rose was a longtime member of the church, where she sang on the choir and was instrumental in the baby nursery for over 35 years.
Rose is survived by her daughters; Darlene K. Andreas wife of John of Northampton, PA, Vicky E. wife of Allen Lee of Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada, Angelene Liggitt of Bethlehem, PA, Donna M. Pursell wife of Rodney of Bath, PA and Diane M. Gebhard of Palmerton, PA; son, Oliver E. Liggitt, III of Point Phillps, PA, daughter-in-law, Kelly Liggitt of Allentown, PA, 16 Grandchildren; Johnny & Gretchen, Kristy & Josh, Lauren, Marleigh & Ryan, Morgan, Sydney, Madison & Michael, Rachael, Jordan Andrew, Timothy, David, Jordan Ashley, Marlin, Shyann, Tallon, Wyatt, 5 Great-Grandchildren; Rileigh, Weston, Harper, Maddux, and Oliver. She was predeceased by her son, Glen in 2016 and brother, Earl "Buddy" Heisler in 1978.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday November 10, 2023 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, Pennsylvania 18067 with the Rev. Dwight Addington officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until time of service. Interment will follow in Pennsville Cemetery, Northampton, PA.
