Preceded in death by husband, Edmund "Jake"; daughter, Dorothy Hakenholz; parents, John and Sophie Parys; brothers, Steve, Hank, Joe, Walt, and Larry Parys; and sisters, Agnes Novotny, Bernice Parys, and Dorothy Ann Parys.
Survived by son, John (Lisa) Matya of Omaha; grandchildren, Thomas, Gregory, Mary, Philip, and Lily Matya, Diana Hakenholz, and Chrissy (Pete) Desimone; great-grandson, Travis Desimone; son-in-law, Jerry Hakenholz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Friday, April 25, 2025, after 4 p.m. with Vigil Service 6:30 p.m., at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, April 26, 2025, 10:00 a.m., at Holy Ghost Catholic Church.
Interment St. John Cemetery. Memorials requested to Holy Ghost Church.
