Rose Anzalone McKenzie

Rose McKenzie, 84, passed away on Saturday, September, 13, 2025. She was a cherished member of our family. She was preceded in death by Virgil McKenzie, her husband of 48 years, her parents Joseph and Phyllis Anzalone and her brother Gerald Anzalone. She leaves behind her daughter Phyllis Osborn (Wade) and grandchildren Matthew McKenzie, Chandler Osborn and Cameron Osborn. Rose was a devoted mother and grandmother and spent all of her time caring for her family.

In her earlier years, Rose was a hair stylist and owned her own beauty shop. Being a business owner was one of her proudest accomplishments. Later she spent many years as a waitress at Ye Olde College Inn in New Orleans.

Her greatest joys in life were spending time with our family, getting chocolate snoballs from Sal's Snoballs, riding on the New Orleans Lakefront with her daughter, spending time talking with her neighbors on her front porch and going to the casino.

She was a cherished member of our family, a wonderful friend and neighbor to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
