Obituary For Rose Miranda
It is with a Broken Heart that I share the passing of MY AMAZING MOTHER - my children's AMAZING GRANDMOTHER, the woman that gave me, my brother and my children such a beautiful life full of LOVE, JOY and HAPPINESS, and the woman that was ADORED by everyone. She had a personality bigger than life She was loved by family, friends and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her ZEST FOR LIFE was truly unmatched. She loved with all her heart, she lived life with all her heart, and she laughed with all her heart. She also sang with all her heart. 'ROSE POWER" - as her karaoke family called her because of her amazing voice. She was the "Ultimate Entertainer". She had a way of bringing joy to everyone who was lucky enough to come in her path. Thank you MOM for EVERYTHING you did to make our lives so wonderful. Words could not express your family's love and appreciation for you, and we thank God for blessing us with you. We love you beyond words. Our lives will never be the same without you. I LOVE YOU FOREVER
Her Loving Daughter - Jeannette
Rose is predeceased by her adoring husband Joseph Miranda and her dear son Stephen Miranda. She is survived by daughter Jeannette Brutto, and her cherished grandchildren Christopher Brutto and Victoria Miranda.
Born in
Brooklyn, NY, her fate led her to her one and only job, where she met the love of her life, Joe Miranda, a sweet wonderful man. From that moment, their story was one of true LOVE, DEVOTION, UNWAVERING LOVE and a bond that lasted more than 75 beautiful years. They were a shining example of love, and lived a beautiful life together. They enjoyed travelling all over the world - including Italy, Greece, Spain, Switzerland, Bahamas, and Bermuda, and their love was a beautiful fairy tale. Rose was also an accomplished artist, and painted beautiful paintings
Rose was a woman of great faith. She was a Eucharist Minister for St. Anne's Church. Her deep faith got her through everything in life. She was the President of the Women's Guild at St. Charles Seminary on Todt Hill for 50 years, She did all of their fund raising, including their weekly bingo. She was especially known for her amazing cooking. People would line up at their annual Christmas Fair for her Baked Ziti, meatballs and eggplant parmigiana. She was also the founder of the St. Jude Shrine on Todt Hill. She raised $10,000 to build the shrine, and got permission for the shrine to be placed at St Charles Seminary grounds, where every year she would have a mass on his name day, and offer medals and holy bread.
Rose's greatest pride in life and her purpose in life was her family. No role ever meant more to her than being "Mom" and "NaNa." It was her greatest joy. Her house was always full of family and friends, and you could feel the love, comfort, joy and happiness every time you entered. She raised her two children, Stephen and Jeannette with deep love and a beautiful sense of family. Her two grandchildren, Christopher and Victoria were her greatest joy in life. She filled their lives with love and nurturing, hugs and kisses, and she was endlessly proud of them. She never missed a game or anything that had to do with them. She was the heart of it all-the one who held everyone together with unconditional love and joy, and she created a home full of happiness.
Though our hearts are completely broken, we find comfort in knowing that her love will never leave us. It lives on in every meal shared, every laugh remembered, and every moment of family togetherness. Rose was truly the better part of all of us, and her absence leaves a space that can never be filled. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her daughter and her grandchildren. If you were lucky enough to meet Rose she left you too with a sense of sheer joy. Her legacy is not only in the life she lived, but in the love she gave so freely-and that love will live on in all of us forever. If you were lucky enough to know you, she left her mark in your heart, and you will never forget her.
She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Joe, the love of her life, and her dear son Stephen.
