Rose Paquette, born January 19, 1943, passed away on February 23, 2025, in Largo, FL. She was the daughter of Nicholas and Jeannette (Beaudoin) Curro.
Rose enjoyed playing BINGO, cribbage, and corn hole. She loved playing slots with Simonne and Joe, riding her three-wheel bike, playing tuck, shopping at the Coach store, and spending time at Ranch Mobile in Clearwater, FL. Known for her stubborn and sassy nature, she brought joy and laughter to those around her. She especially loved Christmas shopping and hosting Christmas Eve celebrations for her family. She also enjoyed yard sales and participating in tuck tournaments with her infamous red marbles.
On August 21, 1965, she married the love of her life, Gerard Paquette. Rose attended St. Mary's School and Biddeford High School and was a devoted member of Good Shepherd Parish. She worked in the Bursar's office at UNE and in the office for Shaw's in Saco.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Conrad Curro, and her sister Priscille Curro.
She is survived by her husband, Gerard Paquette; her sons, Steven Paquette and his wife Lynn, and Jeffrey Paquette and his wife Michelle. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Alexis Becker and husband Sam, as well as great-grandchildren Lucy, and Nelly; Abbie Paquette and her fiancé Emmett Morin; Olivia Paquette; Evan Paquette; and Elaina Paquette. She is also survived by her siblings: Paula Vermette; Jean Strout and her husband Wayne; Diane Grenier and her husband Raymond (Pee-Wee); Joanne Westman and her husband Bob Weeks; and Nicholas P. Curro II and his wife Priscilla.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 8:30 am - 10:30 am at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, Maine 04005. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford at 11:00 am on Friday, March 21, 2025, followed by a burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in Biddeford.
