Rose Quebodeaux

Rose Marie Andrus Quebodeaux, 84, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, January 5, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Abbeville in 1939 but was a long-time resident of Sulphur after moving from Biloxi, Mississippi. She worked at Larry's Tastee Freez in Sulphur for over 40 years as well as drove the school bus for Our Lady's School in Sulphur for nearly 10 years. Rose enjoyed spending time with her family. She collected angels, and was an avid supporter of charities, especially for veterans, St. Jude, and MD Anderson, who we offer our deepest appreciation to for their exceptional care and compassion.
Rose is survived by her children Mark and his wife Libby, Matt and his wife Shelley: her grandchildren, Candace Quebodeaux and husband Zach, Kayla Quebodeaux, Brent Quebodeaux and fiancée Bayleigh, Jared Bertrand and wife Julie, Luke Bertrand and wife Lacey, and Angela Bertrand; great grandchildren, Brax, Oliver, Kevin, Rebecca, Maddison, Logan, Lawton, Landri, Zach, and Jarrett as well as 8 siblings. She is preceded in death by her husband James, her parents Freddie Andrus, and Bernice Sonnier, as well as 4 siblings.
Funeral services for Rose will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 2 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning from 11 AM until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 12 PM. Burial service will follow at Farquhar Cemetery in Carlyss.
