Rose Marie Shape

Rose Marie (Herd) Shape, 88 of Bellefontaine passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Logan Acres Senior Community.
Rose was born August 13, 1936 in Peoria, OH to the late Delbert and Margaret Zelma (Eddy) Herd. On November 27, 1962 in Bellefontaine she married Edward Franklin Shape, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her son, Randy Shape; grandchild, Keith Michael Farmer and 7 of her siblings.
Rose became an avid Cincinnati Reds fan after many years of watching their games with her late husband Ed. She enjoyed her game shows, going out to restaurants to eat, having a margarita when out to eat and going to family reunions. Rose loved to cook and prepared many meals for several of the auxiliaries in town that she was also a member of for many years. She was a kind, caring person and would do anything for anyone if needed. Rose was the best mother ever to her kids. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children, John Farmer, Jeff (Deanne) Farmer, Joanne Birt and Rodney Shape; several loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Ely and Janet Watkins; many nieces and nephews.
A private family graveside service will take place at a later date.
