Rose Mary Van Wormer

Rose M. Van Wormer, age 98 of St. Charles, Michigan, died on August 24 2025, in Saginaw, MI.

Rose was born on August 29, 1926 to James and May (Pulsinelli) Fidanzo, in New Jersey, New York. She married Robert M. Ruf in August of 1942. They shared 35 years together before his passing in June of 1978. She then married Herbert Van Wormer March 31, 1979. They shared 7 years together before his passing in 1986.

During her life, Rose loved dancing and listening to polka music, watching tennis and old classic movies, and spending time with her family. She was proud of her Italian heritage and loved being part of a large, wonderful family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeri (Fred) Schneider, Rosalie (Alan) Billeter, Peggy (Dave) Lotridge; 13 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 26 great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Ruf and Herbert Van Wormer; daughter, Laura Griffus: and son-in-law, Kenneth Griffus.

A memorial service will be held 1PM on Sunday September 14, 2025 at McGeehan Funeral Homes, St. Charles Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11AM till the time of service. Burial will follow at Riverside cemetery in St. Charles.
