Rose Mary Walker passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late John Clarence Walker, Sr. for 35 years. Mother of John Clarence Walker (Freda), Kathryn Moore (Joe), Charlotte Gaspard (the late Terry), Jimmy Walker (Marsha), Alden Walker (Amy), Mary Kellis (Jon) and Betty Coulon (John). Daughter of the late Louis and Lottie Breaux. Sister of the late Leola Hebert, Iona Guidry, Louis Breaux, Jr. and Jane Hebert. Preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Cherie Hartley and Blair Englade. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and an Avon representative. She was a lifelong resident of the lower coast of Algiers for 75 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11am. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9am until 11am. Interment, Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Special thanks to Dorothy Martin for her loving care.
