Rose Mary Hall Watts, 76, of San Antonio, TX, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025. Rose Mary was born in San Antonio, TX, on August 23, 1948, the beloved daughter of Marion Oscar Hall and Ozella L. Markham. Rose Mary Hall married Arthur Lee Watts Jr. on October 1, 1967. They shared 56 wonderful years together. They met at the Texas Star Inn, both on dates with other people, but were quickly smitten with each other. It didn't take long for them to plan future dates of their own. Soon after marriage, they joyfully started their family, welcoming two children: Rhonda Sue Watts Geiwitz and Wayne Edward Watts. Rose worked in various retail positions over the years, retiring from a local Chevy dealer where she served as a new car title clerk. Rose was a gifted seamstress who lovingly crafted many clothes for herself and her children. She learned to crochet and took great pleasure in making baby blankets. One of her all-time favorite pastimes was shopping, and she delighted in spending many weekends at the mall in the 80's. Rose was a truly special lady who loved her family with her whole heart. She always had a colorful phrase to brighten any conversation. She often "secretly" gifted her jewelry to her granddaughters and great-granddaughters, delighting in their joy. Rose generously opened her home to many family members over the years, providing both shelter and unconditional love. She patiently taught her granddaughters how to properly shuffle cards and play solitaire. She treasured her visits to family in North Texas, going as often as time allowed. Left to cherish her precious memories are her children, Rhonda Sue Geiwitz and Wayne Edward Watts; her brother, Michael Edward Hall; Rhonda's husband, Kurt Geiwitz, and their three daughters and sons-in-law: Caitlin and James Thomas, Lindsay and Andres Loredo, and Rebecca and Joseph Friend. Rose was a devoted great-grandmother to 5 children: Breanna Hamilton, Annette and Andrew Loredo, and Logan and Charlie Friend. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rose Mary is preceded in death by her one and only true love, Arthur Lee Watts Jr.; her parents, M.O. Hall and Ozella Markham; her sister, Lavelle Bennett; brothers William and Leroy Tharp and Robert Hall; and her dear grandmother, aunts, and uncles.
