Roselan Ruthardt, 68, of Bledsoe, Texas, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving husband and daughter. Roselan was born on July 11, 1957, in Dallas, Texas.
She attended Duncanville schools while she was growing up.
Roselan loved to garden, go fishing, shopping and loving on her grandchildren. She also loved to cook and bake, as well as canning food. She worked as a waitress for over 15 years at the Western Barn in Tatum, New Mexico before retiring. Her family related that she was kind of sassy but loved to love hard. She loved riding her Harley, and travelling together with her husband to places like Las Vegas, Durango, Cloudcroft, Ruidoso, Del Rio and Fredericksburg. She had been a member of Bledsoe Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; one daughter, Angelia Wakeland of Lovington, New Mexico; one brother, Tommy Taylor of Duncanville, Margaret of Dublin and Mary Jo of Duncanville; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Don "Bo" Wayne Brown, II; a brother, Junior Taylor; one sister, Nadine Taylor.
No services have been planned.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in her memory be directed towards Hospice of Lubbock.
