In Loving Memory of Rosemarie Woetzel
In loving memory and gratitude for her love of family, friends, and her Lord, we remember Rosemarie Woetzel, who passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, at the age of 85.
Rosemarie was born on September 19, 1940, in Pforzheim, Germany, to Emma and Richard Mueller. Together as a family they emigrated to the United States in May of 1955. She was the proud sister of Reinhard Mueller, and cherished her close bond with him, his wife Trudi, and their two daughters Laura and Kristin, holding family relationships close to her heart throughout her life.
On May 11, 1963, Rosemarie was united in marriage with Johannes Woetzel. They met through the local Christian Fellowship Deaconry in Irvington, New Jersey. This was the foundation of how their relationship started and would carry on throughout their life by being involved with Liberty Corner and Liebenzell USA. Their marriage was grounded in scripture, Mathew 6:33, love, faith, and commitment.
Together they built a family rooted in strong values and devotion. Rosemarie was the proud mother of three sons, Michael (Lucy), Andrew (Kim) and Stephen (Ruth) with their families, embracing her role with deep love and unwavering dedication. She was an incredible loving presence in their lives, and her joy extended richly to the next generation. She cherished her six beautiful granddaughters (Beatriz, Ericka, Pamela, Danielle, Grace and Emmaline), delighting in time spent together and holding each of them close to her heart. She was also lovingly known as Tante Rosie to many nieces and nephews, offering warmth, affection, and a genuine sense of belonging and making every effort in keeping the family together!
Rosemarie was gifted in hospitality and possessed a keen and remarkable ability to make others feel truly welcome. Their home was always a place of warmth, comfort, and belonging. She had a great love of gardening, cooking and baking, especially for holidays and family gatherings and her home was often the heart of celebrations, family get-togethers and holidays. Their home was always open to welcome missionaries, visitors, family and friends who would be blessed with loving hospitality. These gatherings were expressions of her joy in bringing people together. Her kindness was sincere and freely given. Her generosity was quiet and heartfelt. Through acts of service, thoughtful discernment, and gifts given from the heart, Rosemarie cared for others without expectation or recognition in return. She listened deeply, offered wisdom gently, and supported those around her with grace. Her faith in the Lord Jesus was the foundation of her life. It guided her actions, sustaining her through life's challenges, and filled her with peace and hope. She lived her faith daily-through prayer, service, generosity, and love-trusting fully in God's grace and promise.
Rosemarie will be remembered for her gentle strength, her generous spirit, and the peace she brought into every space she entered. She was a blessing to her family and friends, and her life was a reflection of steadfast faith, compassion, and love.
Though she will be deeply missed, we are grateful for the many years shared and the legacy she leaves behind. We take comfort in knowing that she now rests in the presence of her Lord and Savior, in eternity.
She will forever remain in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life, for Rosemarie, will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Grace Church on the Mount at 758 NJ-10 W,
Randolph, New Jersey. The service will be held at 2:00 p.m. followed with a time of fellowship.
