Rosemary "Roxie Rosie" Cromer, known to the world as "Roxie Rosie", 33, of Newark, New Jersey, passed away on July 31, 2025. Born on February 25, 1992, in Newark, NJ, she was the cherished daughter of the late Joyce Cromer.
Rosie grew up in Newark, attending 15th Avenue School and later Newark Vocational High School, where she began to develop the unique style and charisma that would become her signature. A proud Newark native, she spent the last five years residing in Garfield, NJ, with her devoted companion, Richard Janesky.
Luminous, spirited, and vivacious, Rosie was an online public figure admired by many for her unapologetic personality, bold fashion sense, and free-spirited nature. She was a true fashionista - a loving and gentle soul, outspoken yet warm-hearted, whose light shone brightly in every room she entered.
She was a devoted mother to her beloved children, son Zamuri Cromer-Medal and daughter Maniyla Nafeesa Cromer, who were the center of her world. She is survived by her loving siblings: Hassana, Hasan, Nafeesa, Robert, and Kadeem; and was the treasured niece of Rosemary Jones and Ennis Cromer.
Rosie was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Cromer; her sister, Haneefah; her aunts, Linda, Janice, Carol, Beatrice, and Diane; her uncle, James; her nephew, Tyrone; and her cousins, Dana, Faakhir, Jihad, and Shondu.
Her departure leaves a profound impact on her family, friends, and countless admirers who knew her for her radiant personality, kindness, and authenticity. Though she is gone, the memories of her laughter, love, and fearless spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
