Rosemary D'Anthony (Nee Mustillo), 93, of Middletown New Jersey passed away peacefully at Brighton Gardens in Middletown on August 1, 2025. She was born in Red Bank, NJ and lived there until 1954 when she moved to Middletown, NJ. Rosemary was co-owner of the elegant Mustillo's Bridal Salon in Red Bank established in 1942. Along with working a full-time job, Rosemary dedicated herself into Help Pioneer, the women's club of Middletown, where she assisted in decorating floats in Follies for the Tercentenary Parade in Middletown. In her spare time, Rosemary painted train station signs. She was a Cub Scout leader and a Brownie Scout leader. She was a parishioner at St. Mary's Church for 71 years where she and her fellow parishioners gave out hugs leaving mass for 10 years. She and her friends also started their own knitting ministry called the Nitwits, which is still in effect today. Rosemary is predeceased by her husband, Nicholas D'Anthony, in 2004; her son, Michael A. D'Anthony, in 2024; brother, Louis R. Mustillo, in 2013; and her sister, Lois J. Caivano, in 2024.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Donna Rakowski (and her husband David) of Point Pleasant and Nicole Coyle (partner Michael Kelly) of West Long Branch. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren.

Rosemary was dedicated to her family and her grandchildren, along with the many nieces and nephews who were always available for a visit and a fun time. She swam and had many friends at the YMCA, with whom she starred in a movie, called the Bluebells. She loved having card games at her home and entertaining friends at Christmas, as well as our famous pumpkin carving parties. She was always dressed and ready to carve. She will be sadly missed.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's, Mother of God Church on Cherry Tree Farm Rd., Middletown on Friday, August 22 at 10 AM.

In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer Society in her son Michael D'Anthony's name.
